Poetry Attempt: When You Finally Get Away From Him

He shoves doubt down her throat
Only to kiss it out of her
Anger
Then kindness
Then anger again
A circle that only ends when she destroys herself trying to survive
She stands herself up using crutches of determination not to do the wrong thing again
But she is so tired
Her resolve fades
Her eyes close
Then suddenly
Light.
